Patricia "Pat" (Grady) Warminger

WARMINGER, Patricia “Pat” (nee Grady) – Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 in her 88th year.

Born in Norwich Norfolk, England to Sonny Grady and Ethel Howes.  Pat grew up on Gipsy Close with four sisters and five brothers, navigating the war years together and finding fun and adventure wherever they could.

Patricia met her husband Colin Warminger in September 1954 at the local dance hall called “the Lido” on Alysham Road in Norwich (pronounced Noorich). During their courting years, they enjoyed sunny days along the coast in Great Yarmouth and many more dances at the LIDO doing the jive.  An impressive dance team! Pat and Colin were married in Norwich on December 19, 1959.  Immigrating to Canada in 1967, Pat and Colin made their home in Peterborough, where they raised their three children. The last few years of her life, Pat was lovingly cared for by her devoted husband.

Pat is dearly missed by her husband Colin, daughter Joanne (Brian), sons Jamie (Melanie) and Jody (Wanda). Grateful for bun lunches and impromptu dancing with Nana are grandchildren Brooke, Kayla, Andrew, Joey, Olyvia, Aaron, Isaac & Adam, and 8 great grandchildren.  Predeceased by grandson Christopher, brothers Wally, Sonny, David, Michael, Roger and sisters Jean, Norma and Sheila.  Fondly remembered by her little sister Margaret Latham, Peterborough.  Treasured friends Bill & Bronwyn Clarke, Diane Rowe, John & Arlene Scott, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family both in Canada and across the pond. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.  Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Highland Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made by visiting www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com.
