It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Patrick John Donato on November 13, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on January 4, 1956, Patrick was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathy (Legree). Together, they shared a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Patrick leaves behind his two sons, Scott (Katie) and Colin (Crystal), who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Cameron, Anna, Tyler, and Ryan, and his love for them knew no bounds. Patrick is also survived by his sisters, Gillian (John) and Jane (Rosemary), and his brother-in-law, Richard (Diane) Legree, who will miss him dearly.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Patrick spent 37 years as a valued employee in GE Finance, where his contributions were admired by all who knew him. His work ethic, integrity, and loyalty were exemplary, and he touched the lives of many throughout his career.
Patrick will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He brought warmth and laughter to every room he entered, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patrick’s memory to Hospice Peterborough, in gratitude for the exceptional care they provided to Kathy during her final year.
A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Saturday November 23, 2024. Visitation 930-1030 AM with service and reception following, 2150 Bensfort Rd. Peterborough, ON K9J 1C5.
