The family of Paul Macklin announces with deep sadness his passing on April 11, 2025 at Hospice Peterborough in his 86th year. Beloved husband of almost 60 years to Dawn Macklin (née Hallett). Loving father of Julie Macklin Fry (Eric), Leslie Macklin Bolo (Rob) and Ted Macklin (Dawn). Proud grandpa of Avery, Emmy, Tristen, Christian, Tyler, Chelsea and Sebastian. Dear brother of the late Lorna Dorland (the late Jack) and brother in law to John Hallett and Mary Hallett (Neil Arnold). Predeceased by his parents Bruce Macklin and Muriel Jewell (formerly Macklin). Lovingly remembered by his niece, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives, friends, coworkers and patients.
Dr. Macklin was a loved and respected dentist. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids at the cottage on Chandos Lake. He will be remembered for his love of family, kindness to all, his strength, his talents in photography, and love of the outdoors and outdoor activities. His family is grateful for the care and support he received at PRHC and Hospice Peterborough.
A celebration of Paul's life will take place in Highland Park Funeral Centre on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm with Words of Remembrance at 3:00pm
