Richard (Rick) Wayne Mortensen (1958 - 2023) 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Richard W. Mortensen, a beloved father, grandfather (“Pops”), and pillar of our family. Richard passed away on November 8th, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family.  

Richard is predeceased by his beloved wife Renate, and parents, Jean & Richard F. C. Mortensen. He is survived by his children: Jennifer (Nicole), and Richard K. (Emily); and his cherished grandchildren: Taylor, Benjamin, and William. He also leaves behind his partner Debbie, his siblings, extended family, and many friends on Catchacoma Lake.  

Richard loved life and lived his to the fullest. His generosity, strong faith, friendship, and infectious laugh have left an indelible mark on those who knew him.  

A celebration of Richard W. Mortensen’s life will be held on December 2nd, 2023, at Buckhorn Yacht Harbour from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
