We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of Richard Crowley on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Richard was 68 years old.
Known and loved by many, Richard will be missed by all who knew him. Richard was predeceased by his parents Frank and Laveda, and sisters Ruth and Rhonda. He was a brother to Lynn Thatcher (Barry), Lisa Bolig (Greg), and Lorie Crowley.
Generous to a fault, Richard positively impacted the lives of those around him in tangible ways each and every day. Whether it was his postal worker, mechanic, local store employees and businesses, Richard was recognized by them for wearing his suspenders and being kind. He was well known by his community, friends, relatives and his fellow retired General Motors employees. Richard rode the bus from Peterborough to General Motors every day for work.
Richard enjoyed his canine companions immensely and was known to be a fan of Phil Collins and Genesis. Richard is missed tremendously by his life-long friends for over forty years, Ken and Jeannie Fox.
A Memorial Reception for Richard will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We know that Richard is spending ‘another day in paradise’, but we want him to know that ‘you’ll be in our hearts’ forever.
