Richard 'Rick' Dale Heffernan

HEFFERNAN, Richard Dale: Passed suddenly at his home on Friday, November 3, 2023 in his 47th year. Richard, loving and devoted son of Richard Heffernan and Lise Menard. Dear brother of Joey Heffernan. Rick joined Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board in 2002, and has worked as an Educational Assistant, Student Retention Counsellor and Child and Youth Worker at several KPR Schools. Most recently he worked at Adam Scott CVI as a Child and Youth Worker with LLS (Learning Life Skills Program). In his almost 10 years with Adam Scott School Community, he created lasting memories for many students and staff. Rick played lacrosse through the Peterborough Minor System up to Junior and Senior level. He also played field lacrosse and had many personal and team achievements. Rick was the biggest Boston Bruins fan there ever was. His passion for the Boston Bruins cannot be put into words. In memory of Rick, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by his family. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Rest in peace Rick.
