Robert A. Syvertsen (Bob)
November 17, 1957 – May 09, 2026
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert Syvertsen (Bob) of Peterborough, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Bob left this world on May 9, 2026 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people.
Bob was born on November 17, 1957 in Peterborough, ON, the son of the late Bernard and Jessie Syvertsen. He grew up in Peterborough where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family. He went on to pursue a career as a butcher, to which he dedicated himself for over 30 years.
Bob is predeceased by his wife of 40 years Ellen Stewart. He was the loving and devoted father of Chelsie (Jordan), and cherished grandfather to Riley, Ryder and Rylan. He is predeceased by his sister Joan and survived by his brother Rick, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Bob had many passions in life, including hunting, and fishing, which he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren, family and many close friends. He was known for his love for the outdoors, knowledge of almost anything, and willingness to help or mentor anyone who needed it.
Bob’s legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love will be carried on by those who knew and adored him. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bob's memory to The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
