Robert 'Bob' Vernon Lewis

LEWIS, Robert Vernon ‘Bob’ (Retired Staff Inspector Peterborough Police Service, Life Time Member of Kawartha Golf & Country Club). It is with great sorrow that the family of Bob Lewis announce his passing. Bob passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a brief illness with his beloved wife Linda by his side on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021. Bob, beloved husband and best friend of over 40 years to Linda (nee Godfrey). Lovingly remembered by Jeff and Ruth Cassidy and cherished Grampie of Duncan and Riley. Dear brother-in-law of Sandy Bolibruck of Thorold and loved uncle to Mike, Kevin, and Gary and their families.

Together Bob and Linda lived life to the fullest, golfing, travelling the world, making special memories with family and cheering on their favourite teams, the Petes and the Leafs. Bob took great pride in his police career and authored and published a book that describes some of the history of policing in Peterborough. In publishing the book, Bob was proud to commit all proceeds from sales, to establish a bursary to be awarded annually to a new recruit of the Peterborough Police Service

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, a private family graveside service was held in Little Lake Cemetery. Our family would like to thank the professional caring staff of unit B5 at PRHC.
