Robert "Bob" Ellis Twa

Surrounded by love, Bob passed away peacefully at Fairhaven Nursing Home on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in his 77th year.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Sandra (nee Golloher). Proud father of Derrik and Dwayne. Adoring grandfather of Jordan and Maddy (Steve). Cherished brother of Joan Dymond, Milton Twa, Eldon Twa (Sandra) and Charlene Twa, and brother-in-law of Garnet Golloher and Margaret White (Ron). Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his parents William and Dorothy (nee Airhart) Twa, siblings Herman Twa, Barb Hogan (late William) and Hilda Campbell, and sister’s-in-law Mary Spears, Evelyn Beatty and Jean McLean (late Harold).

Bob spent his working life in construction. In 1981 he starting his own company ‘Balterre Contracting’ with his partner Larry, where he proudly worked until retirement. During his working years and especially in to retirement, Bob spent a lot of time at the hunting camp with his close friends from the “Cross Cut” crew. He also invested a lot of his time and heart with the Ennismore Optimist Club, where he served as a past president. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him. The family extends heartfelt thanks to all staff on Westview 5 at Fairhaven Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Bob during his final year.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a light luncheon and interment at Highland Park Cemetery.
