With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Earl Robson on February 19, 2026, at the age of 96.
Bob was the devoted husband of the late Phyllis Robson (née Adamson), with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and steadfast support for their family.
Born to William Robson and Violet Robson (née Wheeler), Bob was predeceased by his brothers, Jack and Ken Robson. He carried the values instilled in him by his family throughout his life — hard work, integrity, and quiet generosity.
Bob dedicated his working years to Robson Cartage, the family business, where his strong work ethic and sense of responsibility were evident to all who knew him. He believed in showing up, doing the job right, and taking pride in honest work — principles that shaped not only his career but his character.
At home, Bob found great joy in caring for his house and property. His garden was a source of pride, and he could often be found tending to it with patient attention. He loved camping, boating, and swimming, being at his happiest when surrounded by nature and fresh air.
Travel also brought him great pleasure, especially family cruises to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Hawaii, and Alaska — adventures he cherished and often spoke about fondly.
Bob was a loving father to Carol Klestinec (Rick) and Marilyn Dewar (late husband Doug). He was a proud grandfather to Taryn Mushtaque (Tahseen), Daniel Klestinec (fiancée Laurren Bessette), Kyla Dewar, and Lauren Klestinec (Rob Gorman), and a delighted great-grandfather to Alina Mushtaque.
In his later years, nothing lit up Bob’s face more than watching videos and looking at pictures of his great-granddaughter and the beloved pets of his grandchildren. These simple moments brought him immense joy and connection.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff in B2 and C2 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their exceptional care and kindness during his last months.
As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. He will be cremated and laid to rest with his beloved wife at Keene Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
The family kindly requests that no flowers be sent. Those wishing to honour his memory may consider making a donation in his name to Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
Bob’s steady presence, gentle strength, and quiet devotion to his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
