In Loving Memory of Roberta “Bobbi” Edith Wilson (née Vinette)
Peacefully, with her loving family by her side, Roberta Edith Wilson passed away on the morning of April 11th, 2025.
Beloved wife of Murray Wilson for 58 wonderful years. Bobbi was the cherished daughter of the late Albert and Earla Vinette. She was predeceased by her daughter Karen Adams (John), and her dear sister Judy.
Bobbi is survived by her proud and loving daughters Michelle Horton (Randy) and Heather, and will be forever remembered as a proud and devoted Grandma to Hannah, Paige (Kyle), Abbigail (Nelson), and Zach. She was a loving sister to Karen Gay Dungan (Bob), and a special aunt to Jen and Mike, who held a unique place in her heart.
Bobbi’s warmth and kindness touched countless lives. She leaves behind many life-long friends and extended family who will miss her dearly. Her fur babies—Jersey, Griffey, and Budd—will also deeply feel her absence.
A true lover of life, Bobbi found joy in the simple pleasures: cheering for the Blue Jays, catching a lacrosse game, lounging by the pool, and spending cherished Sundays gathered around the dinner table with family. She had a passion for travel, especially cruising, and she was always up for a good game night, darts league, or movie night with the girls and her beloved Zach. A skilled baker and tea-time enthusiast, she was a proud member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary at the Navy Club.
Above all else, Bobbi’s proudest role was being a “professional Grandma”—a title she wore with endless love and pride.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Highland Park Funeral Centre, Peterborough.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobbi’s memory may be made to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society—a cause close to her heart.
Forever loved. Deeply missed. Always remembered.
