Sean Christian McMurray

MCMURRAY, Sean Christian: At Fairhaven Home in Peterborough Ontario, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 in his 65th year. Sean, beloved husband of twenty- two years to Brenda McMurray (nee Johnstone).

Loving and devoted father of Caelan McMurray. Dear brother of Janet McQuarrie (Steven), and Shelley Ogden (Mark), and brother-in-law to Glen Johnstone (Stephanie Fortin-Johnstone). Loving uncle of Joshua Ogden (Laura) and Addam Ogden (Laura) and Amelia Johnstone and Alex Johnstone. Great uncle to Molly, Sam and Charlotte (Ogden) and Ava, Zoey and Andie (Ogden).

Sean was employed for many years as a forester with the Ministry of Natural Resources. He enjoyed singing in the Northland Men’s Barbershop Chorus and with his quartet, the Good Intentions in Sault Ste. Marie. Since moving to Peterborough in 2008, Sean and Brenda were active members of St. John’s Anglican Church. Sean was a lay reader for the Anglican Church of Canada, a Director with the Canadian Institute of Forestry (Sault Ste. Marie Chapter) and a HAM radio operator. Sean loved the outdoors, photography, and his many hobbies such as wood working and stained glass.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sean’s Funeral Service in St. John’s Anglican Church, Brock Street, Peterborough, on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at 2:00pm.
