ENGLISH, Sharon Maureen (retired, Trent University): It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and aunt. Sharon passed away peacefully at hospital on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in her 75th year, after a tough-fought battle with cancer. She was the youngest daughter of the late Harry English and Lillian (Lynch), and dear sister to the late Bernard (Helen), Anne Coughlin (Gerry, predeceased), Frank (Mary), Leon (Julie, predeceased), the late Catherine Gibson (Jim, predeceased), Lynda, and Ron (Italia). Sharon was a special person and played a special role in the lives of her many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She will be remembered lovingly by all of them.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Reception in the Highland Park Funeral Centre on Sunday, November 16th from 1:00 to 5:00pm with Words of Remembrance at 3 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Norwood on Monday, November 17th, 10:30am, and officiated by Father David West. Internment at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Norwood, and reception at the Norwood Legion will follow. In her memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
