It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Ann Mason (Constable) announce her passing on February 2nd, 2026. Peacefully, with her loving family and best friend, Linda at her side. Loving wife of the Late Neill Mason (d. 2019) and Late Lawrence Rayment (d. 2022). Devoted mother to Kieran Rayment (Liz Ironside) of Peterborough, the Late Larry Rayment (d. 2022), the Late Heather Rayment (d. 2023) and her cherished granddaughter, Kelisha Ott, Sarnia, Ontario.
Loving daughter of the Late Doris Constable (McColl) and the Late Edward Constable. Sister to Eric Constable (Carole), Ed Constable and the Late Darlene Appleby (d. 2017).
Sharon retired from a lengthy career as secretary for the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. The students at the schools loved Mrs. Mason for her caring and nurturing ways, always tending to their needs whether it was providing them with warm mittens and socks, baking cupcakes, or just making them feel special and loved. Sharon had an extraordinary gift for cake decorating but to those around her it was more than a talent, it was an expression of the heart, making each occasion extra special. She loved music and line dancing with her friends, reading romance novels, she enjoyed being on the women’s ball teams where she took pride in her pitching skills, and cherished the friendships she formed with her teammates.
She loved her family and friends deeply and she will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, her Aunt Marlene Brown, and her life-long best friend, Linda Hickey.
A special thank you and deep appreciation to Tricia Roche and Christine Karpasis, Sharon’s Rehab and Occupational Therapists. Your kindness, compassionate care, dedication and unwavering support and friendship made a difficult journey more comforting, and our family is truly grateful.
We wish to thank the wonderful staff and caregivers at Lakefield Extendicare. We are truly appreciative for your compassionate and attentive care Sharon received while living there and especially during her last few days. She enjoyed her time there, where she found comfort, enjoyment and new friendships.
Thank you to the staff at Highland Park Funeral Centre for your compassion, dignity and service.
Cremation will take place and there will be a graveside service followed by a reception for family and friends at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
In memory of Sharon donations if so desired, would be greatly appreciated by the family to the Kawartha Food Share or an Animal Shelter of your choice.
“May you find eternal peace and rest.”
