Passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough with family by her side. Devoted wife of Charles Cavanagh. Loving mother of Lori Sullivan (Larry), Cindy McGriskin (Pat), Sheryl LeBlanc (Daren) & Michelle Terry (Jeff). Step mother of Linda Adams, Larry Cavanagh & Ted Cavanagh (Diane). Cherished grandmother of 21 grandchildren (predeceased by one). Proud great grandmother of 30, great great grandmother of one. Predeceased by sister Gail Wyatt (survived by James).
Born on a farm in Glenarm Ontario to parents Clifford Douglas & Mildred Douglas (nee Wilson). Growing up on a farm, she inherited a deep love for animals that she carried on throughout her life. She was an extremely hard worker and instilled hard work in her children. Sharyn had a love for music and could often be found dancing to any beat she could find. Sharyn was the best wife, mother, mother-in-law & grandmother; she was always filled with love. Memories of Sharyn surrounding her family in the deep love she carried will always be cherished by the family and friends she leaves behind.
In keeping with Sharyn’s wishes, a visitation will take place at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Wednesday April 30, 2025 beginning at 10AM until time of service at 11AM followed by a reception. Following reception, burial will take place at Fraserville Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Sharyn can be made to Five Counties Children Centre or Hospice Peterborough.
