Shirley Ann (Cordell) Brown

Brown (Cordell), Shirley Ann, passed away at PRHC on Friday, May 12, 2023 with her family by her side. A little more than a week before her 86th Birthday. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, who passed away on June 25, 2022. Shirley is predeceased by her four siblings, Tom, Grace, Vera and Moe.

Dear mother of Dave, Don (Susanne), Dan (Amanda) and Tania (Mark). Much loved Gramma of Amy, Natalie, Matthew, James, Mitchell, Renee, Hansen, Aaron, Brendan, Benjamin and Jacob, step grandchildren, Melissa and Sarah, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Shirley loved her family above all else and was so proud of them.

She also loved to sing, singing in the church choir, with the local Sweet Adelines and the Jubilaires. Shirley also felt great fulfillment through her 30 years of volunteer work at PRHC.

Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at PRHC for their compassionate care.

As per Shirley’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of  Shirley’s life for family and friends at Highland Park Funeral Centre, on Thursday, June 1st at 11 am with a reception to follow. Interment will follow the reception at Little Lake Cemetery.
