Theresa (Caddigan) Collins

COLLINS, Theresa (nee Caddigan) Peacefully with her family by her side at Hospice Peterborough on Friday, August 12, 2022 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Leo Collins for 71 years. Loving mother of Lucy Shillinglaw (Glenn), Sheila Barber, Mark Collins (Gina) and Nancy Hamblin (Glen). Cherished Nana of Scott Shillinglaw (Christine), Ryan Shillinglaw, Carrie Barber, Kevin Collins (Julie), Sarah Syvertsen (Eric), Craig Collins (Stephanie), the late Derek Whitehill,  Chris Whitehill, Jason Whitehill (Carly). Great Nana of Jacob, Leah, Ellie, Maddie, Andi, Mackenzie, Georgia, Daniel, Ariyah and Dawson. Predeceased by her parents Michael Caddigan and Georgina (Bluebird) and her siblings Lucille, Bud and Joe Caddigan.  Theresa was the first female to sit on the St. John the Baptist Board of Directors with Dr. Grant.  Long time volunteer; PTA, Church events, Elections: municipal, provincial and federal and teaching young students to read.   Worked for Canada census supervising and training her team of canvassers. We were all proud of her accomplishments in curling, sailing, golf, waterskiing until she was 75. She was the organizer of many family events, reunions, and mandatory coffee breaks at the cottage (no coffee involved).  She loved playing cards with her many special friends. Funeral Prayers and a Celebration of Life will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM. At the Collins Family Request FACE COVERINGS/MASKS ARE MANDATORY. Reception to follow in the Highland Park Reception Centre.
