I just heard the news today from my brother who heard from our friend Dan McIntyre (pilot) of Sarnia.
I couldn't believe it! I can remember meeting Al to make wine at the store you took over in Norwood. Always cheerful... and as soon as I heard his voice I heard the East coast. We connected!
Then to our surprise learning the cousin connection of Dan who we've know for years in Sarnia... 6 degrees of separation! Always ran into Al at Foodland or to chat when stopping by your home.
Had no idea of the illness or how quickly it took him but I'll surely miss our chats and his cheerful demeanor. Wishing you and your family only the best at this time of grieving and allow time to heal!

Anne: We were so sad to hear about Al"s passing. He was such a pleasure to be around at work and our old days together in the union at St. Joes. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Anne: After reading all the condolences from your friends, there is really nothing I can add, other than my own sadness . He could not have been happier when you two decided to marry, & live happily ever after. You want to be happy to know how complete your life was together. He was a gem, & you were lucky....memories will always be with you. Please accept my sympathy. We all have you in our hearts.

Dear Anne and family. Please accept my sincere condolence in the passing of Al.
I remember him fondly and my deceased husband, Clarke used to enjoy meeting with Al at the Legion on a Friday afternoon. I well remember all the lovely lunches we enjoyed at your tea room on a Sunday after church.
We both enjoyed Al's wonderful sense of humor. Sincerely Alberta.

Dear Anne and family
it is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Al at such a young age.I will always remember him as a kindhearted spirit with love for all that were willing to accept it!
The first time I ever spoke to him was over the phone and I was telling him not to speak too fast as I was afraid I would not understand him .Al's reply that I was the one who should slow down, made him dear to me from the first moment!
He was saying that sure 1958 was the best year and consequently told me that was your birthyear,he loved you so much!
I wish you strength and tons of good and loving memories
loads of love from us
Margriet, Angus and Brendan
