Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Saturday, December 9, 2017,days before his 65th birthday.  Beloved husband of Anne (nee Fife) for 20 years.  Loving father of Lindsey McIntyre, Rochelle Burns (Blake), Brad Plumton (Melissa), Mike Plumton (Derrick Fournier), Tim McIntyre and Jessica McIntyre.  Cherished grandfather of Hunter, Linkin, Ayden, Dexter, and Jared.  Devoted son of Shirley (nee Halloway) and the late Aloysius “Allie” McIntyre.  Dear brother of Peter  McIntyre (Catherine), Debbie O’Brien (Dave), Danny McIntyre (Doreen), Brian McIntyre (Elsie), Ernie McIntyre (Maggie), and Linda Nuttall (Gerry).  Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.  There will be a Celebration of Al’s Life held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 PM and at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH #300, 27 King Street Norwood from 5:00-8:00 PM.  Words of remembrance will take place at 6:00 PM.  Interment will be held in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.   In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
