Of Peterborough, Ontario passed away on November 27th, 2025, surrounded by her family and shrouded in love.
Cherished mother of Brian, Adam (Kate), Christina, and Scott (Christine). Loving wife of Glen for 47 years. Grandmother to her precious grandsons, Asa and Harper. Predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Joan (née Savage), brother, Nigel, and sister, Jennifer. She is survived by her sister, Heidi (Bob), nieces, Sarah and Kate, and nephew, Josh.
Heidi and Bob were always there for Wendy, for which her family will always be grateful. Wendy was a proud registered nurse for almost 40 years, mostly in the Peterborough area. She was the ultimate professional, full of compassion and care. She was nurturing whether it was her family or her gardens. She loved seeing them grow and blossom. For 23 years she refused to let cancer keep her down. She rarely complained and defined what strength truly means.
A special thanks to the staff at PMH and PRHC, Anna, Sharon, and all the support staff at Nightingale Nursing. A special mention to doctors Barron, Gomez, Krzyzanowska, Morelli and Jewell.
Her life will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, at Highland Park Funeral Centre. Visitation will be held at noon, and a Service at 1:00pm. Refreshments and shared memories to follow.
