Dear McMurray Family,

So sorry to hear that our great friend Gerry has passed. Was shocked to learn of it and even sorrier to have missed your wake today. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend his funeral mass tomorrow but I will be there in spirit. Truly Gerry has left a wonderful mark on his world. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear about your grandpa, Desiree....sadly, it gets no easier as you get older......we're grieving an old friend of mine's passing last week, but he was only 69! Sounds like your grandpa had a pretty rich, comforting life, and will be missed by many! Our thoughts are with you....

Mrs. McMurray and Family,

My condolences to your family.

When my mother, Agnes, was sick and housebound for an entire year, Deacon Gerry visited and brought her Communion and he also shared his sense of humour! My mother told me, "Oh! He's funny!" Deacon Gerry, thank you for bringing joy to my mother! Rest in peace Deacon Gerry and may you be in God's presence for all of eternity!

To the family (especially Marlene as a fellow 5 PM St. Anne's parishioner) please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss of a father and a remarkable man. I remember singing at Deacon Gerry's ordination in 1993. The Lord must need a remarkable man and Deacon in heaven.
