Saddened to hear the news.
As a former patient, I have fond memories of Dr. Mohindra.
A man of great compassion, genuinely interested in other cultures ( we especially had great conversations about foods & recipes ).
R.I.P. and say hi to your "good friend" David !
My condolences to the entire family

To Aunty Asha, Ashvin and Family.

It was with great sadness I heard of Uncle Kris's passing this week. He brought incredible warmth and love to myself and my family from before I was born in Peterborough. Growing up in Peterborough the Mohindra's were as close to family as we had. They were there for the celebrations and the challenges with immense sensitivity, love and support. As life took me to Vancouver (20 years), I would look forward to Seeing Uncle Kris and Aunty Asha as they attended his annual family medicine conferences here. We shared great food, conversation and the delivery of the conspicuous brown paper package which of course was curry powder from home. I loved the fact that he would ask the tough questions that only loving family would do. He gave me his opinions and suggestions which looking back I will always cherish and be grateful for. I will spend the rest of my life trying to be a better person because of his influence and love.

Very sad and unexpected news of passing away of krish, as I knew him. I met krish in 1961 when we were living in the Devonshire House , the Universirty of Toronto residence.
I would cook spicy food once in a while in the basement kitchen of the residence, we would thoroughly enjoy the food. There was no Indian restaurant then and spices were scarce.
Once I bought an Indian songs vinyl Album from A&A Records Store on Yonge Street. We were thrilled to get the album and we played the album many times in the music room of the residence.
There are many memories that I have of our times together, and I cherish them. I will miss you my friend - rest in peace.
I would have come in person to pay my condolences, except that I am in Mexico, for the winter.
I got the new from my daughter Sarah who as it happens was in the University in PB with Ashvin.

Dr. Mohindra- Kishenbhai, to me and my family - became a good family friend over the short period I had the pleasure of knowing him. No visit to Peterborough was complete without a very enjoyable chat with him during which we exchanged our experiences of three continents, East Africa, India and Canada. He affectionately addressed me as "Bhai-Saab" (respected elder brother). Kishenbhai, we will miss you. Rest in Peace.
Ashaben, our most sincere condolences.

I will always remember Kris, as the Grandfather of the Indian community in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. He was the first to welcome you into his heart and hearth, with delicious food made lovingly by Asha Aunty. He had a great passion for history and was one of the best genealogist on the history of Indian people and their families. In particular Indian families from East Africa. He played a major role in introducing the Indian Culture to Peterborough. He also believed that all races and religions were the same and the best way to treat people was as one of your own! In particular, nurturing the healthcare and cultural sector. Thank you Kris for leaving us with great traditions and teachings. Jyoti and Bill

Dr Mohindra will be missed. He was very helpful to all the new comers to Peterborough and I especially remembered him giving me the order for Diwali sweets as I was starting my own business. May God give Ashaben and family strength to bear this loss.
