Hello from KW. My sister & I have offen wondered about your Mom after opting not to phone her as we occasionally used to do some years ago. Research today surprised us, that she lived these good many years! OurMother & I sold countless catnip mice in our shop, “The Sap Bucket” in Elmira in the 1970-80’s & we enjoyed the drop ins of Ruby & Edna or Norma with more mice & stories. . It was a surprise one year when my parents went to Israel, that Ruby was also on the same tour! I have kept the letters & cards from Ruby. I told her that “Ruby’s Letters from the 50’s” were historical representations of the time we grew up & that Edna recognized that because Ruby wasn’t so sure. We remember her spirit for life fondly. John, just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you at this time but both of us are unable to attend the service today. We are the Welch girls that spent many Sunday afternoons with your family as our parents played bridge. Our parents were Roy and Dorothy Welch and lived on King St.
We are amazed that your mother lived to such an age! We have many fond memories of all your family from so long ago.
