William Dunford

DUNFORD, William R. “Bill” – (avid antique car collector, former partner of Dunford Bros. Sand and Gravel) – suddenly at the Toronto General Hospital on Friday, August 19, 2011, in his 82^nd year.  Bill, loving husband and best friend of Hilda (nee Darling) for 56 years.  Proud and very special Dad of Carole Prentice (Mike), Dianne Anderson (Karl), Allison McNamee (Dan), and the late Warren (1983).  Cherished Poppa to Warren (Amanda) and Sarah (Greg) Prentice; Emily and Michael McNamee; Alex, Will, Zachary, and Karlie Anderson.  Great-Poppa to Gracie Mae Prentice.  Dear brother to Stan, Flora, Mick, Ila, Karl, and the late Mina, Mary, and Edna.  Sadly missed by the Darling family, many nieces, nephews, friends, and BFF Dutchie.  Friends may call at the HIGHLAND PARK VISITATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road (at River Rd. S.), Peterborough, on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with reception to follow.  Private family interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.  Donations in Bill’s memory to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by his family.
