Yvonne Lorraine (Black) Betts

BETTS, Yvonne Lorraine nee Black (Shorter): With much sadness I announce the passing of my beloved sister on July 7, 2015 at the age of 86. Loving wife of the late Stanley Betts. Predeceased by her four sisters and four brothers. She will be sadly missed by her three step-children Lynn, Judy, and John Betts, their spouses and seven grandchildren all of British Columbia. Always remembered by her only sister Lucille (Russell Cunneyworth) of Peterborough, sisters-in-law Verna Black, Joyce (Gerry Adams) and Yvonne Southworth. Fondly remembered as “aunt Bonnie” by eighteen nieces and nephews their spouses and children. Many thanks to the caring staff at Centennial Place Millbrook for their care of Yvonne these past six years. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
