So sorry to hear about the passing of Fran.  She was such a good friend of my Mom and fellow Bridge Club member - Christine Johnston, who also ended her life journey in October. I was very glad to have seen and speak with her at my Mom's service and am thankful she was able to attend.

Condolences to all the family,

Sandy and Lois Johnston, Whitehorse, Yukon

My Granny will always be one of my most cherished memories. She was one of the kindest and most thoughtful ladies. She could remember the names and birthdays of everyone she met and never said a negative thing about anyone. She shared my love of small trinkets.

When I was five years old I put a plastic white Barbie shoe in a silver pillbox on a hutch and she kept it there all the years following and would remind me every time I saw her that the shoe was still there. She instilled a love of the whimsical in me. She wore a crystal teddy bear around her neck with moving arms and legs and would let me play with it. I will always remember how she would clasp her hands and say how ‘grand’ it was when we would all visit together at the cottage.  Every year we celebrate her birthday on Christmas Eve with eggnog and Christmas carols and this year there will be an extra angel on our tree.
